ZAZU ($75)
Zazu is an original design, one-of-a-kind buttonface doll. She is 12" tall. Her body is zebra-print cotton, self-lined with muslin for durability. Her faceplate is an appliqued round of turquoise brocade, as are her feet. Her elegant evening coat is black Chinese brocade, fully lined in sheer black net printed with metallic multi-colored stars. The coat is edged with turquoise scalloped bead trim and tied in front with two black glass barrel beads and black fun fur yarn. Her gorgeous black-and-white boa is hand knitted from fun fur popcorn yarn. Her shoes are black spandex with turquoise metallic dots, with a black-and-white checkerboard button on each toe. Her little bird face is goldtone polymer clay built onto a heavy 2" round black Dill button, and her eyes are iridescent glass beads. Zazu is firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill and is flat-bottomed so she can stand by herself. Zazu is an offbeat kind of girl who is always looking for the surprising and delightful in life.
