PINKY ($75)
Pinky is an original design, one-of-a-kind buttonface doll. He is 12" tall. His body is black and grey print heavy cotton knit, self-lined with muslin for durability. His faceplate and shirt front are appliqued dusty pink cotton sateen. Pinky's tuxedo-style jacket with scissor-sculpted rumba sleeves is a black/gray/pink vintage eighties abstract cotton print, lined in pink and black checked cotton and anchored by beautifully detailed pewter egg buttons. Pinky's feet are pink cotton sateen with scissor-sculpted fabric cuffs and pink/gray fantasy fur, as is his neck ruff. His bird face is goldtone polymer clay built onto a heavy 2" square black Dill button, and his eyes are bronzetone brads. Pinky is firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill and is flat-bottomed so he can stand by himself. Pinky's the bouncer at a local night spot where all the players hang out. He's looking for somebody real, though. Can you see past the pose and the clothes and the dark glasses into Pinky's big, soft heart?
