EGGIE’S SURPRISE ($75)
Eggie is an original design, one-of-a-kind buttonface doll. He is 12" tall. His body is blue and white decorator cotton. His faceplate is an appliqued square of black leather stamped with gold, as are his feet. His coat is black cotton printed with off-white eggs, and the sleeves and hem are African mud cloth. The coat is fully lined with black and gold cotton, edged with black fun fur yarn, and closed at the neck with a bone button. There is an egg-shaped button tied with blue wool yarn on the toe of each of his shoes. His face is goldtone polymer clay built onto a heavy 2" round blue Dill button, and his eyes are black glass beads. Eggie is firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill and is flat-bottomed so he can stand by himself. Eggie's just discovered a twig nest with two blue, brown, and white mushroom love birds.
