ETHYL MERMAID ($75)
Ethyl Mermaid is an original design, one-of-a-kind buttonface doll. She is approximately 15" tall from her head to the tip of her tail and approximately 5" wide. Her upper body is peach colored twill and her lower body and tail are luxe green and black metallic brocade, self-lined with muslin for durability. Her bodice and front are overlaid with dark green fantasy lace and hand-beaded with tiny pearls. A cascade of multicolored ribbon finishes the back of her ensemble. Her faceplate is an appliqued round of blue and silver cotton. Her hair is hand knitted from "auburn" eyelash yarn. Her lips are goldtone polymer clay built onto a heavy 2" round off-white Dill button, and her eyes are blue glass beads, accented by "diamond" bindi. She holds her pet hermit crab Louie in her hands. Ethyl's body is firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill and flat-bottomed so she can stand by herself. Your ship will never run aground with Ethel's siren song to steer you clear of the rocks. She's swum the seven seas and can't wait to tell you her fish tales.
